What is a JCT Contract?
A JCT contract is essentially a set of off-the-shelf contracts available to purchase by anyone wishing to enter into a building contract with another party. The JCT was formed in 1931 and their suite of contracts are standard forms of building contracts that parties can use to document their construction projects.
We are experts at drafting, negotiating and settling disputes across all types of building contracts such as the JCT, NEC and ICE.
Construction Legal Advice
Our expert team of solicitors advise employers, main contractors, sub-contractors, funders and professional designers on all aspects of construction law.
Construction Disputes
Wherever possible, we will encourage an early resolution of a dispute through negotiation. It is vital that you seek legal advice before entering into any form of building contract. The implications of not properly documenting construction works can result in parties not understanding the risk they are taking on and the implications they may face if something goes wrong.
